Defining the term "of colours": How do we define the term "of color"? It means we come from that splendid rainbow of cultures and ethnic truths: African, Arabian, Asian, Black, Caribbean, Chicana, Latina, East Indian, Pacific Islander, First Nation/Native American, etc where our life experiences as people of color are rooted. |

It is our hope that we can learn to appreciate the following fact: we are not all the same in our expressions of femme and butch/stud, however it is in our best interest to come together and prosper in our mutual desire of "creating community". wouldn't you agree? |

Back in 2000, I was doing a search for those that were like me 'folks of color' in the butch/femme online real time community. I didn't find them. While i found many butch/femme sites, none were specifically celebrating the difference that is unique to us Colour-Filled folks... so after staying up griping and brainstorming all night-I was looking and so were others....and HirShe was birthed. |
